Christ Renews His Parish
"Come Follow Me"
“The one who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of you righteousness.”
[2 Corinthians 9:10]
A man dreamed of entering a large store in which the gifts of God were kept. Behind one of the counters was an angel dispensing stock to those who stood in line. The man waited his turn and when it came said to the angle, “Please give me the fruit I need.” The angel responded, “I’m sorry. We don’t stock fruit. All we have are seeds.”
God gives the seeds and God makes them grow, but God doesn’t plant them. Sowing the seeds is what you do. You take God’s gifts and invest them in your everyday life. You plant the seeds from God and they grow and fill your being.
Christ Renews His Parish is the garden in which you plant your seeds and watch them sprout, nourished from the fountains of prayer, the bright light of witness and shared fellowship. Together with God you grow your seeds into a stronger faith which seeks to multiply and bear the fruits of hope, love, service and discipleship in every field of your life.
When we are called to our CRHP Renewal Weekend we have little idea of what to expect. As the weekend progresses we find ourselves being filled with the Holy Spirit. Hour by hour our faith grows until we nearly burst with the joy of the experience. That feeling stays with us for the longest time. Every day it seems that the lessons we learn find meaning, even in the smallest things. Had it not been for Christ Renews His Parish it would be a far different and lesser group of men and women extending this invitation to you.
