Companion Camp

While it is true the Olympics come around only every four years, some boys can participate in an Olympic-style week-end filled with sports, blow-up obstacle courses, and a dodge ball tournament while interacting with monks and seminarians.  If you like to keep busy and have fun, this is the week-end for you!

Conception Seminary College’s 16th annual summer camp, Companion 2012, will be held at Conception Abbey in Conception, MO from June 15 – 17.  Middle school young men from all over the Midwest attend this Camp.  Many high school and college students help put the Camp which is packed with activities, games, and sports together.  Companion Camp always promises to be lots of fun.

During Camp you will meet other Catholic young men like yourself, as well as seminarians, priests, and monks.  Give yourself one week-end to enjoy a time of recreation, prayer, and a chance to grow closer to God in a very special and unique way.

If enough young men from our Diocese attend, free transportation to and from Conception will be provided.

Companion Camp costs $100, but that includes lodging, food, a t-shirt, and lots of fun.

What do you need to bring to Companion Camp?

  • casual and recreation clothes (please be moderate in your clothing; check the wording on your shirts and the fit of your pants and shorts)
  • toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant
  • medicine (must be listed on the medical form)
  • spending money
  • dress clothes for Sunday Mass

Bath towels and bed linens are provided

Brochures are available from the Junior High Religion teacher or the Vocation Office.

My prayers are with you.  I ask for your family’s prayers as we continue to help young people find out what God is calling them to be, that they have the courage to follow that plan, and that families continue to encourage their children to follow God’s plan for their lives.
