Christmas Lunch at the Towers

The fourth annual "Christmas at The Towers' was held on Saturday, December 14, 2014.  Approximately 150 residents from Dulle and Hamilton Towers were in attendance. They received a complete holiday meal, complete with homemade rolls and cheesecake. Everyone enjoyed selecting a couple gifts from the table of gently used donations collected throughout the year.  The residents especially like to pick out things that can be used to decorate their rooms. Nativity sets and other religious items are very popular.  In addition to items from the gift table, the residents were also able to take table decorations, Christmas tree ornaments, garland wreaths, and lights that had been hung for the event by area Girl Scouts on Friday evening.

This year's entertainment was provided by 'The Makers Dozen' from Immanuel Lutheran Church in Honey Creek.  The Makers Dozen sang bluegrass and Gospel music.  Their music was enjoyed by both the residents and volunteers!

IC Parishioner, Audrey Kauffman spearheaded 'Christmas at the Towers' when she found out that many residents don't celebrate the holidays with anyone.  Sharon McQueen helped Audrey organize the event and Patricia Dohmen baked the rolls and cheesecake.  Many other IC parishioners helped with food preparation, set-up, serving food, and clean-up.
