On July 27, 1913, Holy Mass was celebrated in a small frame building on the corner of East McCarty and Clark Avenue. This was the first Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Parish. For the next 100 years Immaculate Conception Parish has grown and served as a source God's grace to His people. We will celebrate the centennial of our parish in 2013. All of the various groups and organizations of the parish are working on ideas to make this celebration memorable. The rich history of the parish will be presented in a variety of ways and times. There will be a meal or other social gathering that will include an auction of a wide variety and one-of-a kind items. The culmination of this celebration will occur with an outdoor Mass with Bishop Gaydos on Sunday September 29 2013 at 2:00 pm. Many of the details of these events remain in the planning stages so please watch for more information in the bulletin and on the website. |
