We're grateful for the valuable investments into our faith community — gifts that will keep giving for years to come. By working together, let's keep up this momentum.

The Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund, Inc., is a nonprofit organization formed in 1995 to allow parishioners to make lasting gifts to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Jefferson City. Those tax-deductible gifts to the Fund help strengthen the financial reserves of the Parish and are carefully invested and managed. Each year, the Fund makes a distribution to the parish to help meet the ongoing needs of the parish and school. With your help, we can continue to grow the Fund, and increase the amount of financial support it provides the parish each year. Your gift will truly keep on giving!

Many families have included the Endowment Fund as the suggested donation in memory of a deceased family member. We encourage all families to consider this in their current and future financial planning. The Endowment Fund has grown substantially from the generous bequests of estates of some of our deceased parishioners and benefactors. Please consider the IC Endowment Fund in your annual contributions and when you are making your estate plans.

IC Endowment Fund FAQ's

It is a separate nonprofit charitable organization with tax exempt 501c3 status formed in 1995 that is designed to accept donations from IC parishioners for the benefit of IC. Money from the Fund is disbursed to the parish annually and used for the benefit of the parish and the school. According to its Articles of Incorporation (1995), the Fund was established "to collect and manage funds to strengthen the financial reserves of Immaculate Conception Parish and assure an orderly continuation of its ministries."

The Fund's Board has adopted a reasonably conservative, yet balanced, long-term investment strategy in order to make sure the Fund continues to be a reliable source of assistance for the parish into the future.  Our Investment Committee works closely with two professional investment managers to ensure our investments meet or exceed the benchmarks set forth in our Investment Policy.

The Fund's Board includes 9 current parishioners who volunteer their time to maintain the Fund, with the assistance of professional financial/investment advisers.  The Endowment Board may be reached at endowment@icangels.com

Think of it like a long-term savings account for the parish, which is designed to grow over time and continue to make even larger annual contributions to the Parish as it grows.

Are you 73 or older? Donate your IRA Distributions Directly to the IC Endowment Fund

Qualified charitable distributions (QCDs) have been permanently extended, which gives you another reason to consider a contribution to the Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund. Individuals can donate up to $100,000 per year directly from a traditional IRA to qualifying charities like the endowment fund.  This is attractive to some investors because QCDs can be used to satisfy required minimum distributions (RMDs) from an IRA without having the distribution included in their income.

When the IRA holder reaches the age of 73, a QCD may be made directly from their IRA to a qualified charity. Making a QCD provides an opportunity to make a charitable contribution that you might otherwise not have been able to make and/or receive potential tax benefits for charitable contributions that you are already making. Since itemization may no longer be as beneficial as it once was, this is a way to bypass taxes on your charitable contributions. You should consult your tax advisor and estate-planning attorney about your situation. Contribution details you will need: Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund, c/o President, 1206 E. McCarty St., Jefferson City, MO, 65101.
